Vegetarian Baked Beans

Ingredients
- navy beans drained and rinsed
- 2/3 cans
- unsulphured molasses
- 0.17 cup
- brown sugar
- 0.17 cup
- ketchup
- 1 1/3 tbsp
- yellow mustard
- 1 1/3 tbsp
- onion powder
- 0.17 tsp
- baking soda
- 0.17 tsp
- kosher salt to taste
- 0.17 tsp
- liquid smoke
- optional
Method
- 01Preheat oven to 400°F.
- 02Drain and rinse beans, then set aside.
- 03In a baking dish or Dutch oven, whisk molasses, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, onion powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- 04Stir in beans and liquid smoke if using.
- 05Bake 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until thickened and bubbly.23 min
- 06Remove from oven and let sit 1 minute as sauce thickens.
