Ingredients

- extra virgin olive oil
- 9 tbsp
- kosher salt
- 1 1/2 tsp
- za'atar
- 12 tsp

Method
- 01Crack egg into a ramekin or small dish.
- 02Heat nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil, reduce heat to medium, tilt pan to spread oil, and watch for shimmer.
- 03Slide egg into heated oil. Season with salt and za'atar.
- 04Cook 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat, spooning olive oil over whites, until whites set and edges crisp and yolk reaches desired doneness. Cover briefly if needed for firmer yolk.
- 05Serve immediately with warmed pita bread.
