  1. 01Place sweet potatoes in slow cooker and add just enough water to cover them. Add salt to water, cover, and set to 4 hours on LOW.4 hr
  2. 02Melt butter in a small saute pan and sauté garlic until lightly golden.
  3. 03Drain potatoes in a colander and return to slow cooker.
  4. 04Pour garlic butter over potatoes, add milk and sour cream, and mash until smooth.
  5. 05Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Keep slow cooker on warm until ready to serve or up to 2 hours.
