Ingredients

salmon fillets skin on, 6 oz each
4 fillets
olive oil
2 tbsp
soy sauce
3 tbsp
honey
3 tbsp
sambal oelek
2 tbsp
garlic minced
4 cloves
fresh ginger grated
1 tbsp
rice vinegar
1 tbsp
jasmine rice
1 1/2 cups
avocado sliced
1 large
persian cucumber thinly sliced
1
green onions sliced
2
sesame seeds toasted
1 tbsp
lime for serving
1
kosher salt
to taste

Method

  1. 01Cook rice per package.18 min
  2. 02Whisk soy sauce, honey, sambal, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar.
  3. 03Pat salmon dry, salt both sides.
  4. 04Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high.
  5. 05Sear salmon skin-side down 4 min. Flip, 3 min.
  6. 06Lower heat, pour glaze over salmon, spoon to coat, 1 min.
  7. 07Pile rice in bowls, top with salmon, avocado, cucumber.
  8. 08Scatter green onions, sesame seeds. Squeeze lime over.
