Red Cabbage Salad with Crispy Scallions and Potato Sticks

Ingredients
- red cabbage shredded

- carrot cut into matchsticks

- potato cut into matchsticks

- scallion cut into thin strips

- sesame oil

- vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp
- rice wine vinegar
- 3 tbsp
- garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp
- salt to taste

- five spice powder
- 1/4 tsp
- sesame seeds toasted
- 2 tbsp
- cilantro chopped
- 4 tbsp
Method
- 01Combine cabbage and carrots in a large bowl.
- 02Rinse potato sticks in cold water to remove starch, then dry thoroughly with a kitchen towel.
- 03Rinse scallion strips in cold water and dry thoroughly.
- 04Fry scallions and potatoes in oil in a shallow pan until crisp, about 5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- 05Whisk honey, sesame oil, vegetable oil, rice wine vinegar, garlic powder, salt, cumin, and five spice powder.
- 06Toss dressing with cabbage and carrots.
- 07Transfer salad to a bowl and garnish with sesame seeds, cilantro, fried potatoes, and fried scallions.
