Ingredients
- sushi ricecooked
- 3 cups
- rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp
- sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp
- salt
- to taste
- Spamsliced into 8 slabs
- 1 1/2 (12 oz) can
- soy sauce
- 4 1/2 tbsp
- mirin
- 1 1/2 tbsp
- noricut into 8 strips
- 3 sheets
Method
- 01Whisk rice vinegar, sugar, and salt; fold into warm rice.
- 02Pan-fry Spam slabs over medium-high heat until edges brown, 2 min per side.
- 03Whisk soy sauce and mirin; brush onto cooked Spam.
- 04Wrap a nori strip around a musubi mold or small rectangular form.
- 05Pack rice into mold, press down, top with a Spam slab, press again.
- 06Lift mold away; wrap nori ends around the block and seal with a dab of rice.
- 07Repeat with remaining rice, Spam, and nori.
