  1. 01Melt butter in a small pot or skillet. Add minced garlic and a pinch of salt, remove from heat, and let rest.
  2. 02Preheat oven or grill to pizza temperature.
  3. 03Remove pizza dough from refrigerator if needed and let rest, covered, at room temperature while preheating.
  4. 04Combine crushed tomatoes and 1/2 tsp salt in a small bowl. Thinly slice peppers and grate cheeses.
  5. 05Stretch dough into a 12-inch circle. Place on a floured pizza peel, spread tomato sauce over dough, add an even layer of peppers, then cheeses.
  6. 06Bake until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. 07Remove from oven and immediately brush crust with garlic butter. Finish with fresh basil.
